EASP AIR ACQUIRED BY SIERRA INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS, ACCELERATING EUROPEAN SPECIAL MISSION AVIATION GROWTH
EASP AIR, a Netherlands-based specialist in Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) operations, today announced it has been acquired by Sierra International Holdings (SIH), a diversified defence and aerospace group. The acquisition positions EASP AIR for its next phase of growth, expanding the company’s capabilities and reach while preserving full operational continuity.

Since its founding, EASP AIR has established itself as one of Europe’s premier Special Mission Aviation providers, having been selected for all four FRONTEX Framework Tenders since the programmes inception and is currently part of the competition for the fifth framework tender.
Operating Dornier 328 Special Mission Aircraft from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, EASP AIR delivers expert aerial maritime surveillance across European waters in support of border security and migration monitoring operations.
EASP AIR will retain its identity, leadership, and operational independence while gaining access to a broader network, resources, and international market reach across the SIH family of companies and SIH’s US affiliates, including Sierra Nevada Company and Sierra Space Company.
Pieter Voeten will continue as Managing Director through the end of 2026, ensuring stability for clients, partners, and personnel throughout the transition.

EASP AIR TO DEVELOP NEW HANGAR AND OFFICE COMPLEX AT OSTEND-BRUGES AIRPORT
Ostend, 3 September 2025 – In early August, EASP AIR and Ostend-Bruges Airport (B) signed a Letter of Intent for the development of a state-of-the-art hangar and office complex. The project includes two spacious hangars, each equipped with a three-story office tower. The new facility will be centrally located on Apron 2, replacing the existing outdated structures. The total surface area of the new site will amount to over 4,900 square meters.
