At ILA Berlin 2026, EASP AIR will present one of its DO328 Multi-Role Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) on the static display line. This presentation is organized in close cooperation with Deutsche Aircraft.
The central theme of the static display is “Autonomous Remote Operating Solutions”, highlighting next-generation capabilities for sustained, flexible and resilient maritime and remote operations.
Several of the EASP AIR Maritime Patrol Aircraft fleet’s key systems and sensors, by Ziggzagg (BE), TRAKKA (SE), Scioteq (BE) and BEAUFORT (UK) will be demonstrated.

1. I-COP® Mission Management Command & Control (for situational awarenes and common operational picture)
During EASP AIR’s Aerial Maritime Patrol Support operations, seamless air-to-ground intelligence sharing and real-time situational awareness are enabled by the I-COP® Mission Management software tool. The system ensures real-time distribution of situational awareness and live video streams from EASP AIR’s Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) platforms to headquarters, as well as to ground and surface units.
I-COP® has been developed in-house by EASP AIR, based on evolving operational and mission requirements of headquarters responsible for safeguarding Europe’s borders. The system is deployed daily within a secured, multi-user environment and is fully cyber-protected.
With over 10 years of proven operational performance, I-COP® has become a trusted standard for mission management and control in European border surveillance, coast guard, air policing, and search & rescue operations.

2. ‘SEAXTER’-UUV Service: Protection of Critical Underwater Infrastructure
One of the key highlights is the world premiere of seaXter, a mid‑air launch capability for a unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV).
The seaXter is designed to support the protection of critical underwater infrastructure, such as subsea internet cables and energy pipelines.
Together with Belgian partner Ziggzagg, EASP AIR is presenting the world premiere of the seaXter-demonstrator. Core capabilities are:
-
- To be launched mid‑air
- Operated and controlled directly from the (loitering and on-guard) DO328 Multi‑Role MPA
Using MANET and SatCom data links, the seaXter UUV can stream live video to onshore command centers or naval platforms. The DO328 is capable of long‑endurance loitering, controlling the UUV and relaying live video feeds to command-and-control centers throughout the mission.
This capability provides Navy and Coast Guard organizations with a rapid-response solution for underwater domain awareness. The concept enables efficient operations over extended distances while maximizing the UUV’s onboard energy for its core mission tasks.

3. TRAKKA HD Daylight and Infrared Camera Systems
At ILA, EASP AIR will introduce its brandnew TRAKKA TC‑375 Electro‑Optical (EO/IR) system, representing the latest generation of European EO solutions. The TC‑375 is a long‑range, high‑performance, single‑LRU multi‑sensor surveillance system, setting new benchmarks in ergonomic and industrial design.
The system features (amongst):
-
- A 375 mm gimbal
- Digital 4‑axis gyro‑stabilization
- 6‑axis passive isolation
- Continuous zoom optics for all‑weather, 24/7 mission performance
The TC‑375 is a NON‑ITAR system, making it highly attractive for international operations.

4. Scioteq Next‑Generation Mission Display Technology
In cooperation with Belgian partner Scioteq, EASP AIR is upgrading its onboard mission display systems. The TL‑354 21.3” Thin Lightweight Mission Display is characterized by:
-
- Large display area with high‑quality LED technology
- Exceptionally low power consumption
- Ruggedized design combining minimal thickness with very low weight
This next-generation display significantly enhances mission crew situational awareness while supporting reduced aircraft power loads.

5. Beaufort Search and Rescue Equipment
The static display will include a BEAUFORT Aerolite 10 life raft, suitable for 11–17 persons, which can be airdropped during SAR missions conducted by the EASP AIR DO328 Multi‑Role Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Key specifications of the Aerolite 10 Life Raft:
-
- Rated capacity: 11 persons
- Overload capacity: 17 persons
- Dual buoyancy chambers
- Dimensions: 840 × 460 × 240 mm (33″ × 18″ × 9.5″)
- Weight: 5 kg (67 lbs)
- Equipped with essential life‑saving rations and signaling equipment
In addition, the EASP AIR DO328 is fitted with smoke and dye markers to accurately mark the position of persons in distress.

6. Surveillance and Detection Systems
Advanced detection systems, including a Smyth Meyers cell phone locator system, enable the crew to detect and localize mobile device users at sea and on land. In emergency scenarios, such as SAR operations, firefighting missions, and disaster response, this system also enables communication with persons in distress.
The aircraft is further equipped with the latest SAAB R5A AIS receivers, enabling identification, classification and precise tracking of individual maritime traffic targets.

7. Autonomous Refueling Logistics
German company Ineratec has developed an innovative concept for the remote production of synthetic Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), directly at the operating base. This SAF is produced using a containerized production unit that can be deployed in remote locations. This solution supports two key objectives:
– Sustainable fuel usage for long-range, long-endurance patrol missions, significantly reducing climate impact.
– Enhanced flexibility and resilience in fuel logistics, enabling a higher degree of operational autonomy for patrol and SAR assets.
Especially at remote operating locations, autonomous refueling solutions are expected to play an increasingly vital role. At ILA Berlin, an INERATEC containerized SAF production unit will be showcased at the EASP AIR static display.
